Worlds Largest Computer Party, In Progress

cyb97 writes "As I write this the worlds largest computerparty is going on in Hamar, Norway. The Gathering 2003 is in action with over 5.000 participants! Webcams and participants are live on the internet through a 1 gigabit line, so you better lock down your servers tonight!" Some of the webcam images are just surreal. More on the P2 Lodge (MayDay page from August 1991) from "Tales from the Grassy Knoll": P2 stands for Propaganda Due, a MASONIC lodge that flourished in post-war Italy. It was originally chartered by the Swiss GRAND LODGE ALPINA (supposedly the culling ground for the supremely powerful PRIORY OF SION, which on the other hand might be a Dadaist hoax). P2 was led by double agent extraordinaire Licio GELLI (also known as "the Puppet Master"). GELLI started as a humble fascist in Franco's Blackshirt Battalion during the Spanish Civil War, went on to the rank of oberleutnant in the SS and was named as liaison officer from MUSSOLINI to the elite SS Herman Goring Division. It was at this time that he became a double agent for the British and Italian secret services (he would later also go on to work for the KGB). After the war he seemed to be the obvious choice to work with the CIA to smuggle NAZIS out of Germany (Operation PAPERCLIP) via VATICAN-controlled diplomatic channels known as "the rat-lines." He is personally credited with getting Klaus Barbie "the Butcher of Lyons" reestablished in Argentina. He was also the Italian coordinator of OPERATION GLADIO, a scheme thought up by Allen DULLES of the CIA to seed Europe with arms caches and terrorist cells in the advent of a Communist invasion.

GELLI was more than up to this task. With his CIA money from the GLADIO/PAPERCLIP projects he built up an impressive dossier of information about Italy's leading personalities and blackmailed them into joining his lodge. At its height (the mid '70s) P2 boasted over 2400 members including the heads of all three Italian secret services, several cabinet members, politicians of every ilk, newspaper editors, the financial police, bank presidents, bishops, and a late Pope (despite the anti-Masonic posturing of the church). P2 has been described as a virtual "shadow-government" that was ready to take the reins if those pesky Communists ever got elected. Yes, GELLI was on top of his game; in fact, he was a guest of honor at Ronald Reagan's 1981 inauguration. But like those heroes of yore, hubris bespoke a very hard fall^Å

The devil, of course, is in the details, and like a chain, a conspiracy is only as strong as its weakest link. The weak link in this case was a bank president named Roberto CALVI. CALVI was the president of Banco AMBROSIANO^ÅOk, deep breath^ÅBanco AMBROSIANO was what was known as a "Catholic Bank," which means that it was adjunct of the VATICAN bank. "Vatican?" you say, "Bank?" "I thought there was a prohibition on the lending of money at interest in the BIBLE!" Well, there is, but the sin of usury has not stopped the Vatican and its affiliates from becoming some of the leading financial powers in the world (it is rumored that the JESUITS own a 51% share of Bank of America). You see back in the halcyon early days of church/fascist state cooperation, the Vatican and MUSSOLINI made a deal known as the LATERNAN treaty that granted the Vatican tax exemption on all financial transactions (The VATICAN also made a deal with the NAZIS to be included in the Kirchensteuer, or "church-tax", an income tax that in 1943 alone netted the Vatican over 100 million dollars). Now tax exemption makes a bank a good place to launder, er^Ådeposit, money, and the coffers of the Vatican were soon overflowing...

In the waning days of WWII when it seemed obvious that playing both sides for profit just wasn't, er^Åprofitable any more, the US Military/Industrial complex decided to get rid of those pesky Fascists once and for all. In Italy it was decided to get at MUSSOLINI by invading Sicily. In order to pull this off successfully the US needed an "in." That, of course would be the MAFIA. So US Intelligence contacted "Lucky" Luciano and his Genovese family, who put them in touch with the Inzerillo family of Sicily (cousins to the Gambinos). A little of this. A little of that, and voila, the invasion was a success! After the invasion, one of the go-betweens among the Mafia and the US Army was a man named Michel

Consider decimal numbers: 342 means 3 hundred + 4 tens + 2 units. It's in that order because hundred > ten > unity.

To do the same with dates, you might say 2003/04/17 because year > month > day. Alternatively, 17/04/2003 is pretty good because day < month < year and things are in order.

I'm not trolling against Americans. Just pointing out that dates and times are much like decimal numbers, where the position of a digit tells its order of magnitude. It's much easier when the orders of magnitude are in some logical order.
