DRI Comes to DirectFB
Pivot writes "To further heat up the discussion about the future of the graphical desktop on open source OSes: Now the DirectFB project works with DRI!. Screenshots are available. I guess what is lacking now is only XAA driver support, or native drivers for your favourite graphic card." We've mentioned DirectFB before.

gorgeous you simply cannot deny the beauty of this luscious little girl. who else wants to stick their tongue into her belly button?
You are very funny, I love you so much. Touch me in warm places.
I have no intentions of touching your armpits, you sweaty little oik.
Already /.ed
Sears, Wal-Mart, etc. DO have children in their underwear, AND these catalogs/flyers are sent directly to your home, my home, AND to the home of a pedophile. Why is it ok to see a child in her underwear in a Wal-Mart ad, but appalling to see a girl dressed in CLOTHES on a website??? (And Cindy had clothes on in every picture I saw on her site). Pedophiles should be punished and medical/mentally treated, but is locking our children in the basement or having them live in a bubble the answer???
BORING!
next article, please....
Big iron just got bigger. I bet the 'big iron' under your desktop doesn't have 1/100 of the power of the High Performance Cluster of Sun machines we have here. And we do run apps on there with graphical output, so we need remote X displays.
You kiddies can play with your little iron under your desk, we grownups will always want to work with bigger stuff.
Post an article describing how easy it is to be a Karma whore and the Karma will flow
"The first thing to do when you find yourself in a hole is stop digging."
1. Loadable modules are nice. The seem to keep complaining if the driver version differs from the kernel version.
2. If I want to write a third party GPLed driver for windows, then I can. Most people don't need to and so they don't bother.
3. I suggest proper coffee. Make sure it's freshly ground.
Troll mode off, if I did decide to write a kernel, I'd probably write something very different from Linux. Aspects of it are quite good, especially the support for obscure filesystems, but really adding drivers is rather unpleasant. Somehow BeOS makes life seem so much easier. Just drag and drop. Things just work.
Good thing you used your karma bonus modifier to post that.
Typically anything ending with "...oh wait" is junk.
