Classic Activision Newsletter Scans Unleashed

Thanks are due to AtariAge, who have put a number of new classic gaming newsletter scans up on their site. Particularly good are those for the US Activisions Newsletter, and its UK counterpart Activision Fun Club News, both published from around 1981 to 1984. And any newsletter with a page headlined 'Here at last! David Crane, superstar' is a friend of Slashdot Games.

Is it me, or is that site's design a rip-off of Coolhompages.com

You really gotta wonder if it cuts the mustard when this is only the second comment!

This isn't a front page story, it's a games subsection story - you'll only see it on the front page if you have 'collapse subsections' turned on. Ta :)

I havn't looked at the other mags scanned but I really like the layout and color scheme for the Atarian.
It's kind of goofy, and playful, reminds me alot of the box artwork for those old atari games.
Kind of wish modern day game mags had a similar look, they are all quite bland by contrast.

The content, of course, is something else, the
Atarian being but a shameless series of plugs.

I loved activisions newsletter. As a child, I always awaited the latest in early 80's activision news. I still have some of the original newsletters, which I will never through away!

    Long life Activision newsletter!
