PPC 970 Confirmed for Apple?
batboy78 writes "In what perhaps is the first 'official' confirmation that IBM's PowerPC 970's will be used by Apple, BusinessWeek claims that IBM has confirmed that it's developing a new set of chips for the Mac: 'IBM says the new Apple chip will be of the 64-bit variety, which means it can process twice as much information per cycle as existing 32-bit chips.'" CT The article has been updated to make the confirmation seem... well, far less comfirming.

Look, I don't know where you get off, but I was just explaining what I had assumed to be the truth. If I had spent my time looking up every fact, I would never be read.
I am relitively smart, and more times than not what I can deduce from the quick facts given are true, which helps me inform people less intelligent than I.
How do I know you aren't making up these numbers too, huh? I'll bet you are. I couldn't find those numbers anywhere on apples.com
