A Good Summer Read?

Having read Snowcrash, Neuromancer, and most of the hacker biographies, I am trying to find a scifi-geek-hacker book that people like. Literaly. Even though one of the main characters is a fag, there is no excuse for the homoerotic overtones other than Stephenson's queerness. The thing reads like a Burroughs novel.

You said it. My feeling is that the WOT books are the literary equivalent of Zeno's Paradox. Each book gets you half-way to the end from where you are, so you will never finish. Actually, with Jordan it is more like 1/4 of the way to the end.
Maybe when he actually finishes the series I'll read it, but I just can't keep straight for 5 or 6 years (I started when there were 3 or 4 books) all the characters and sub-plots and I refuse to keep re-reading to keep it fresh.

well, i particularly enjoyed Inside Richard Stallman. it's amazing seeing where this inspirational guy get's all his ideas.

that comment was more for "mr100percent" rather than public consumption. he has a suprising ability to rationalize voilence and seems very interested in all things violence related. he rationalizes the murderers that do so in the name of jihad. basically, this man has shown the ability to have no regard for human life and has on several occasions argued that jihad murders are justified.
he supports countries that implement strict sharia, a medieval religious bigoted sexist racist system of law that has the death penalty for just about everything, stoning to death, and dismemberment as forms of punishment.
