DangerousBeauty writes "Yahoo has an interesting article up about the introduction of id cards in the United Kingdom. The main concern of people is that the UK Government has decided to ignore thousands of people who have said they opposed the cards because they commented via the internet."

They should be ignored totally. Their claim that it was a "colonization" showed their total ignorance of the situation (they were in effect demonstrating in favor of Saddam Hussein and his mass graves).

No need to listen to morons no matter how loud. There was a similar situation in the United States where a tiny minority demonstrated in favor of Hussein (the so-called "peace movement"). They insisted that their ideas should have been taken into account just because they were loud.

"Exactly... My country, the United States, has ignored millions of people who were against giving women and blacks the right to vote."

Right! If the government should listen to a bunch of loud ill-informed "anti-war protesters" (they were really out right pro-Saddam protesters) just because they are loud and determined, then it must follow that the government should follow the policies of the KKK, which is another little group of loud ill-informed morons.

Sometimes, being a leader means doing good despite the fact that an angry mob doesn't like it.
