Aimee Deep Interview
LawGeek writes "Aimee Deep is probably most famously known as the highly attractive cover-girl of Madster (formerly known as Aimster). Since being involved with Madster (her father's business), she has had the opportunity to become more interested in legal and business issues surrounding the music distribution business and now blogs on the subject. Greplaw editor Mikael Pawlo recently interviewed the 18-year old Ms. Deep on various topics."
Judging from the photo at the linked home page, people's tastes are degrading so much as to warrant my suspicion about us slipping into a new Middle Ages.

Back when her father was just starting Madster I met him and Aimee while the guy working behind their local CompUSA's Upgrades (read: Help) Desk (Albany NY region) - got to chatting about filesharing and some of the finer legal points (particularly the differences between what we do see and ought to see) of it with them.
I dunno, she just wasn't that hot in person . . . a little too much makeup. I honestly think her father encourages it - he seemed quite proud of her being all tarted up (and I say this as a completely amoral individual - it was a bit ridiculous).
I agree - this is ridiculous. There's a saying: "You used to be famous because you were somebody. Now you're somebody because you're famous."
Sure, we'd all like to see her naked and petrified with hot grits down her pants, and, like another poster said, lord have mercy on all the jokes that come with that name, but who on Slashdot could possibly care what an 18 year old poster girl has to say about the legal issues of IP?
Spare me.

just because she has a set of tits?
I can't stop laughing at the thought some people get obsessed with others. Like people who fantasize about actresses, musicians and now some piece of skin with two nipples (not that particularly pretty either) just because she says "yay EFF" ?
uh huh...interesting
Has anyone heard of this person? Does anyone care?
Kinda off-topic, but if she's 18 now, and she's been a "poster girl" for years...no, nevermind.
I worry about the sexualization (sp) of underage girls on the internet. I remember those "post pictures of hot chicks" threads at the Something Awful forums that had way too many underage girls. Perhaps an unspoken fetish?
God bless this site, but for Bob's sake it's nothing but a bunch of 18 year old (physically or otherwise) boys spouting off on the legal issues of IP and occasionally even more weighty topics.
If there's one place that M. Nobody Inparticular can feel free to spout off like an authority on any topic, it's got to be slashdot.
So - not to get too serious - but is the problem that she's a girl?
No, the problem is that the pompous rants of the average 18 year old Slashdotter doesn't make the headlines - at best they get a +2, informative. Why should it be any different just because somebody's got a set of boobs?
I get enough of the obsession with sex at practically every other magazine, news site, TV channel etc. ad nauseam nowadays. Even the computer games magazines try to sell a few more issues with a hot chick on the cover, for Christ's sake. I want to believe Slashdot is an exception. I come here to read about tech, and to find this nonsensical celebrity worship over here as well just pisses me off.

It's like I said in a previous comment--Slashdot is not the cool tech news site it once was. It is now a corporate-owned site whose purpose is to generate geek page hits for banner ads.
Not surprisingly, the Microsoft articles always have banner ads. And what do you know? I look at the top of an obvious page-hit article like this, and it has a banner ad. Hmm.
"Sufferin' succotash."
It never ceases to amaze me how nit-picky geek guys are about women.
I knew a guy once that looked like Beavis. I'm not kidding. The guy was the spitting image of Beavis, down to the hair, oversize head, and everything. He'd never had a girlfriend in his life. Various women would show interest in him (never mind how desperate they must have been), but he rejected them, because they weren't supermodel-caliber in the facial appearance and body departments.
Who the hell was this Beavis to care? But he did. And as far as I know he's still never had a girlfriend.
Please note he mentions in his journal holding the source for the Mac version of Aimster/Madster hostage in PGP encrypted form because John Deep won't pay him? Is that a clue?
Nevermind that Mr. Deep has been quoted several times here on Slashdot when Aimster/Madster finds itself in another lawsuit.
Personally, I met the guy while working at their local CompUSA a few years back. He didn't seem like a tool (though his daughter looked like a cheap whore) but after reading Evro's journal (Evro would you do another update? Good read) I'm fairly convinced.
What nobody seems to have pointed out are that the two images of "Aimee Deep" - one on Madster.com, and one on MusicPundit.com - don't look like the same person!
Exhibit A
Exhibit B
What the hell is wrong with you? She looks like she's in pretty decent shape to me. A lot better than I was at 18, or even 15. I'm sorry that curves turn you off. I'm even more sorry that you help to perpetuate the idea that women have to starve themselves and work out obsessively to be beautiful.
If you think she's a fat cow, I'd hate to know what you think about me. (I was 17-18 when these pictures were taken.)
But if starved chicks are the only ones attractive to you, I guess you've been single for a while now, huh?
