Sims Creator Signs TV Deal

Thanks to EvilAvatar for pointing out a Reuters/Hollywood Reporter article indicating that Will Wright, the creator of The Sims and Sim City, has signed a TV deal with Fox. According to the article, "Wright said there are a lot of things that he has learned in creating original franchises for interactive entertainment that he can apply to linear entertainment." In other words, he's looking to take concepts from games and apply them to TV, and is quoted as saying "'I think there are ways to get a deeper level of creative input from an audience of a TV show... I'd like to explore ways to connect the loop between a show and its audience, going beyond the current methods of phoning in a vote.'"     Since we've had a frontpage dup.

    Wasn't one of the "benefits" of subscribing being able to give notice to the editors when dupes are posted so that it doesn't hit the front page?

    I'm still in the boat that says I won't subscribe until the editors start running this like a magazine instead of a hobby (spell checking, grammar checking, dupe checking)

      For what it's worth, it's not a mainpage dupe - this is a subpage-only games post. I got caught out because the earlier Will Wright story wasn't filed under games, so I didn't spot it. Apologies.
