17" Monitor Case Modding -- The "iMike"

greyrax writes "So what does a Canadian cabinet maker who's a closet techie do during those long winter months? You modify a 17" monitor case to house your computer (think iMac). The blow-by-blow descriptions and pictures outline this three-month project. The only question that I'm left with is 'What is that antenna for?'"

So, he built a regular computer into a 17" CRT monitor. Now, let's build a 17" CRT monitor into a regular computer!

Or better yet, let's build the computer into my scanner. Or my speakers! Ooo oo my printer!!

Erm, I go get some sleep.

I spent my long Canadian winters in school learning trivial things like, oh, grammar. Silly me.

Now we know what Jean Chretien's /. ID is... greyrax, where's my tax refund?

And manafacturers, how about a sticker warning "DEATH MAY BE IMMENENT IF OPENED,"

They should put that label on cans of Campbell's chunky beef soup. That stuff is horrible. ;-)

The guy is not even selling ad space, and yet he split his article into multiple pages. Why??

If he just wanted to do us the favour of reducing download times, he could have used thumbnails.

"Off Topic" is a total bullshit moderation. NOTHING should be considered off topic.

I wish to hell the powers that be would replace it. An "Unfunny" or "Not Funny" would be better. The not funny mod type would work great for instances when a poster was trying to be funny, but was stupid instead.

If you ever meta moderate you will note than "Funny" mods can be rated funny to unfunny.

Much more useful than "Off Topic".
