SCO Gives Friday Deadline To IBM

bcisys writes "Reuters is reporting that SCO is planning to revoke IBM's license to Unix this Friday unless IBM settles SCO's claim that parts of its Unix code are being used in Linux. 'If we don't have a resolution by midnight on Friday the 13th, the AIX world will be a different place', SCO President and Chief Executive Darl McBride told Reuters News. 'We've basically mapped out what we will do. People will be running AIX without a valid license.'"

    Well, SCO is still not out of cash... aparantly. So, for them to stop, they need to run out first. Since they have to pay for bandwidth... I guess using a little wouldn't hurt. So, got bandwidth?     You know what would be even cooler? If they took it to court, and they did have the evidence to prove it, and they won. Oh, but then you /. retards would just start whining about our legal system, or software patents, or the RIAA, or Microsoft, or capitalism, or evil corporations, or DRM, or Episode II, or Balmer's sweat glands, or...

    You see, when you geeks are gathered together in your "We Hate the World" club, you tend to lose touch with reality. In this case, the reality is that SCO probably wouldn't be going after a huge company like IBM unless they did have some hard evidence that shows they were wronged.
