Sex.com Case Finally 'Over'

Spad writes "The Register is reporting that Stephen Michael Cohen has, unsurprisingly, lost his appeal against the $65m in costs awarded to Gary Kremen for defrauding him out of the sex.com domain name almost 6 years ago. However, Cohen is currently a fugitive from justice in Mexico, with his assets in various offshore accounts, making it very difficult for Mr Kremen to claim his money. Kremen is now pursuing a $100m suit against VeriSign for signing over the domain in the first place, which he is expected to win." See our previous story for more background.

Why not? I pay $29.99 a month to access the www.slashdot.com website.

2 years ago, I received an e-mail from Nigeria from a friendly chap who told me that I needed to pay to access web sites. What a friendly chap, I didn't even know him, and he actually sent me an e-mail anyway. I've been sending him a check ever since.

I'm glad he was looking out for my best interests. He told me that under House Bill #995554, Senator Hammond Fallon from the state of Franklin would have imposed a jail term for access without paying.

I'm now saving up the $18,000 to send him so he can reward me with $60 million dollars.

Hello? Anybody out there? Jeeze. There were only 23 "first" posts (as far as I could see). For a story like this? You are nerds. The topic makes you all speechless and chit. Right? ;-)
