    God forbid that a countries government actually listens to its citizens. This just boggles the mind to think that there would be an outcry from this. Granted my neighbors car kills more ppl per year than SARS does but if there were a life threatening disease down the road from my house I'd like to know about it.

    I apoligise - I guess I was unclear.

    I was referring to the motivation for the invasion of Iraq. It seems there was a volentry media blackout on the subject - Fox News and co offered the advice of 'experts' to tell us what to think, ansd didn't try to do Investivigative Journalism

    Ensure that a similar disease does't break out again? Or ensure that when one does, the people people cant sidestep government control of the media and warn each other/
