2003 Amateur Radio Field Day

plcurechax writes "The 2003 ARRL Field Day is this weekend, June 28-29. Beginning 1800 UTC Saturday and ending at 2100 UTC Sunday. Originally started in 1933 as a test of portable amateur radio operating, it has become an annual event that is a mix of contest, emergency prepareness, and a public relations activity. Any geeks interested in learning more about amateur (ham) radio, should find out if there is a local club (in Canada)that will be particulating. Most clubs in USA and Canada will have a station on the air. Visitors welcome."

    I was a active ham from 1978 till this past year when I realized I had pissed half my life away on a damn radio and screwing around with a bunch of social retards. Hamming is only for poeple who cant develop face to face relationships with real poeple, so they do it at arms length thru a mike. Word. I quit the radio, went on a diet, lost 75 pounds, started bike riding, got a girlfriend, and FUCK HAM RADIO, BABY!!!!

    I wasted half my life fucking with radios and shit when I could have been fucking chicks. What a waste. Dont have ANYTHING to do with these ham freaks, they all are social misfits and screwballs that cant relate to another person unless they are hiding behind a radio.

    FUCK HAM RADIO. FUCK FIELD DAY. WASTED TIME.
