The Sims - Photo Album Auteurs

Thanks to an anonymous reader for pointing to the Wired News story discussing the rise of storytelling via The Sims' family photo album feature. According to the article, "..no one imagined.. that thousands of players would.. use [the game's photo feature] to create dozens of staged snapshots, crafting what can be complex, scripted, multi-episode social commentaries, graphic novels or even movies, as it were, with the Sims starring in the lead roles." There is sometimes trouble on the set, though, according to one of the creators: "There is nothing like trying to get two Sims to kiss when they are both not in the mood. Actors would at least pretend."

    I developed a similar technique for comic-book-izing warcraft III battle reports. My greatest creation is Gar'dal Man Slayer. Also I wrote War in the Crucible, and perhaps one or two more that I'm forgetting.

    Did anyone else first read the title as "The Sims - Photo Album Amateurs" ?

    Damn was I sorely disappointed when I went looking for pics of nasty underage teen sims having wild barnyard sex in their dorm.
