Filesharing Traffic Drops After RIAA Threats

bryan writes "According to CNN, facing the threat of lawsuits from a music industry trade group, fewer people are using online filesharing applications to swap songs. Internet audience measurement service Nielsen Net Ratings said traffic on Kazaa, the leading filesharing platform, fell 15 percent in the week ended July 6 from the previous week. It was during that prior week, on June 25, that the Recording Industry Association of America said it would track down the heaviest users of "peer-to-peer" services like Kazaa and sue them for damages of up to $150,000 per copyright violation." This follows earlier reports, from the filesharing companies themselves, that traffic was actually increasing.

    so kazaa droped. Fine, most true seeders, rippers, and sharers gave up on kazaa long before. Kazaa mostly applies to the ignorant public. When they start to crack down big time on eMule or BT, then I'll be worried. Well, at least untill I find new program on the bleeding edge of p2p piracy

    Exactly why the total lack of people of color in these communities? Please name even one minority Black that you know to be involved in these matters? I am sick and tired of pale, obese smelly, socially-inept white boys making all the contributions. Don't you know that the Supreme Court has ruled that affirmative action (Negative Non-action to those groups not deemed PC worthy or loved by the media) is Legal?       I absolutely agree!

      I always wondered why these niggers always complain about racism. I mean, we're always giving the niggers welfare money which I'm sure support their drug habits, and these niggers DARE call us racists and predjudice?

      I just want to tell these niggers, "People are People. I don't care if you're white, gook, kike, whop, injin, or a nigger. If you act like a decent human being, then I'll treat you like a decent human being."

      Let's end all the predjudice, which is latin for pre-justice, or judging something/someone before you have all the facts.

      If only all niggers weren't monkeys struggling conceptualizing new ideas, then maybe we could teach them something about stereotypes and predjudice.
