Lufthansa Systems Chooses Linux

Well, Heise is reporting that Linux is just going to take over the computer systems of Germany's airline Lufthansa instead. SuSE and Lufthansa Systems have a joint press release (in German, it should appear here when it comes out in English) out where Karlheinz Natt from Lufthansa Systems gushes (my translation): 'We are registering a steadily increasing demand for Linux-based solutions from our customers.' "
The posts around here are starting to turn into spam, and nobody's posting thoughtfully(almost nobody). It's a waste of space guys and it's not good. We need to respect this forum as much as we respected .net or it wil disappear very fast.
.net now? I don't know, but you will learn to respect it as much later when bandwith becomes a problem. When that does happen, you'll realize how much you've taken this board for granted. We're all from the old board and we all want this board to be as cool as the old board. Now, if we can do that, why can't we act as cool as we did on the old board?
Remember people - quality is better than quantity. Just because you have a huge amount of posts dones't mean your going to become a mod any faster. Admins don't look mostly at how much posts you have, they look at how well thought out your posts are. For all that matters, you could get warned for having an extreme amount of posts, considerably most of them being spam.
These boards will be watched very carefully to make sure that everything stays on topic and does not contain any spam. Post that contain 5 words or less will be deleted to save space.
Like everybody else, I'm sick of people asking "oh can I be a mod?!?!". It doesn't matter who's a mod and who's not. This board is for discussions, not competitions. Besides, asking to be a moderator is only another way to show that you're not mature enough to handle the job as a moderator.
