Linux 2.4.22 Stable Kernel Released
An anonymous reader writes "Marcelo Tosatti has officially released another stable 2.4 Linux kernel. 2.4.22 was released early this morning and includes a lengthy list of fixes. It follows the last stable kernel in this tree, 2.4.21, by a little over two months."

I am the Sobig worm that is invading the internet. I just wanted to let all of you FPers know that you REALLY FAIL IT! Look at how many effpees I got by travelling the internet from one juicy WinSphincter to another. I hate all you people running Linux and BSD and MacOSEX boxes. I can't get into your sphincters in the same way. I hope Microsoft eventually rules the world so that more worms like me can exist and thrive. When Bill Gates talks about an "ecosystem" he knows that he's talking about us worms and viruses.
I am,

Yeah and who cares if 2.4.22 is released ? We soon need to pay licenses to SCO anyways and none of you people can do anything against it.
Years over years the big blah blah how good open source is and that the GNU/GPL protects your software and so on.
And how does the reality look like ? One SCO campaign after the other and no one is doing anything against it. The FSF is basically helpless watching the show like paralyzed morons waiting for companies with the big cash (IBM and RedHat) to put out the money on the table to sue SCO's butt.
GNU/GPL, FSF, prayer RMS they all should go to hell they are all paralyzed. People stealing open source code and embedd it in closed source programs and nothing can be done against it.
I have seen this all comming up some years ago and today it's reality. Face the fact leave the sinking ship and search for an alternative operating system (BSD, QNX or MacOSX) where you can do some serious work and earn some money. This open source hype seems to end really soon.
I for my own after 10 years of open source and Linux am up to search for alternatives. A commercial OS may be better (better documentation, professional development, you can make a few bucks with your work, no pain, stable ABI and API and much more). Well all stuff a Developer understands.
Being a LKML lurker, here are a few of the new features.
Even if is written by someone black?
You know if I had a kernel for an OS that would suck my dick, I think I'd patent it since it would be bound to make me billions. Imagine if I could install that kernel into a RealDoll (tm) and sell it for $20,000. I know a lot of folks here on Slashdto would probably want to have a shot at one of those. ;P
Un-news
Isn't this the guy that let the IP-infringing code to leak in the 2.4. tree? At some point of his Linux celebrity-wannabe career he probably has to turn up in court and have a say about his role in the scam.
By the way. RMS should now be realising that Linux should be rather called SCO/Linux and not GNU/Linux. It would if it was made from original code. Or as Linus say, the suspicious code was removed because it was ugly.
why do we want a crypto api inside the kernel? shouldnt that be outside the kernel? what happens when there is a bug in the api, you have to recompile your kernel? thats ridiculous. download openssl and use that
I'M BATMAN!!!
face it!
