We've had civil war, forced annexation of lands belonging to other countries, wars against several major European and Asian powers, one of the largest arsenals of nukes ever assembled, and that's all on a government level. On a personal level, we have gang violence like drive-by shootings, muggings, armed robbery, thrill-killing, killing of people because they are in a neighbourhood with the wrong skin pigmentation, domestic and foreign terrorism, and many other problems...
