SCO Roundup

Time to clear out the bin of the taint of SCO, hopefully we haven't posted these already... The Economist has a piece titled Face Value -- Of Monkeys and Penguins. The EFF is pushing an email campaign about SCO. An anonymous reader submits this completely unverified claim that SCO needs to change the password on their mail server: sco.txt. And another reader presents a theory about SCO's stock performance.

I'm considering short-selling SCOX stock on Tuesday. Bad idea? Good idea? Thoughts, please. I don't particularly feel like blowing through more money on the market.

In the article "Face Value -- Of Monkeys and Penguins," it is incredible how many times in error the writer uses the word America to describe, I suppose, the US. Since when the whole continent became a country? So lets forget hundreds of years of history. Now a country in North America is America?! How about the fact that what originally was America was made of of the northern Caribbean states and nothing more. How does that translate to the US? Oh, someone used the name for a state and now the state is the Continent. People, this is awefully insulting to the rest of America! So what's next: United States of the World, and then the US is the World.
