Phoenix Bios to Incorporate DRM

defishguy writes "Extreme Tech is reporting that Phoenix Technologies is shopping a DRM-capable BIOS to OEMS. Reportedly the BIOS with DRM enabled allows for software to be tracked and traced from one PC to another." See also this older story about AMI.

    Since we are talking about BIOSs & Chips. I want to know, who does apple buy their ram from to put on their machines eg G5 970?

    Why even consider autocad with its braindead 3D-modeling capabilities. Archicad imports autocad dwgs directly, spits them out, and has superior modeling capability.

    And it runs on mac os x.

    Why would OEMs buy something that would piss off their customers? I can see Sony doing it to their VAIOs but would Dell?

    If something like this sells, it just makes custom building of PCs more attractive IMO.

    Oh, yes, implanting an RFID tag and barcoding every infant at birth is a good thing so that we can track potential terrorists and criminals.
