OS X isn't that great either. OS X is just the software equivalent of the Mac hardware wankfest.

I am glad someone at Apple grew a sense of taste since 2.0 and toned down the pinstripe madness that personified "Aqua."

But, what do we get in 3.0? Aesthetics.

Where's the power of the NeXTSTEP dock, eh? How about taking some of those BeOS engineers you usurped and making some sort of filesystem advances?

OS X is "revolutiontary" because it put a pretty GUI on UNIX. It's managed to fit in as being more "usable" than the alternatives. But, that's it. Mac OS X is the one eyed man in the land of the blind.

First, It is probably less usable than OS 9 since it's got this maddening personality disorder ("am I a spatial browser?" "am I a heirarchical one?")... and the whole slavish devotion to the JOBS WAY makes actually customizing the "desktop experience" (their words) to match one's actual workflow a complete disaster.

How about something truly remarkable, Apple? How'sabout you figure out a way to make "file browsers" irrelevant? Or make manging my applications easier? Or *something.*
