Racketeering Suit Filed Against DirecTV

dki writes "Another attempt is being made to head off the lawsuits DirecTV has been filing against purchasers of smart-card programmers. This is another of the evils of copyright. If copyright was abolished, there would be no reason to suspect a smart card programmer was going to be used for something illegal. So there would be no way to extort money.

You know what it costs to launch and maintain satellites? I gues you think that direcTV is just trying to charge you for magic spacebeams.

I hope idiots like you prevail and drive DirecTV out of business, then you'll have nothing to watch. Good luck!
