Using GPS To Prevent Train Crashes In India
dave420 writes "The BBC has an article outlining plans in India to use GPS technology to alert train drivers of obstructions on the tracks, automatically stopping the train if the driver fails to take action. This sounds like a good use of cheaply-available technology to provide a safer train network."
Who is going to report the GPS locations of problems ? If there is a boulder on the track, as long as you are sending out a man with a GPS to figure out it's exact location, why not give him $2 so he can hire 50 local people to carry it away ?

JESSE K RISTE!!! Why do we need GPS to avoid collisions with trains? Why not just have the trains run on a proper schedule and a conductor who can see out of the front while not diddling his cock? God! People are fucking idiots these days. If only I was able to take over the world. Everything would be set to rights. I would just make sure that everybody was smart. If they weren't they'd be put to death on the spot. Then I'd make sure that there were laws and rules applied to every facet of life. This way there would be no choices to make or possibility of things not having continuity. After all, one of the most important things for humans is to make sure that everything is set up logically. If every was made to think and act like I do, then there would be no problems in the world. Fucking idiots think they can handle it on their own.
