NVIDIA's New Pro Graphics Quadro FX 3000 Reviewed

SpinnerBait writes "NVIDIA recently took the wraps off their next generation Workstation Graphics card, the Quadro FX 3000. This card is based on the same general GPU architecture as the NV35 but optimized for CAD and DCC applications. This article over at HotHardware shows what the new Quadro FX 3000 is capable of and it makes a strong showing. However, you've got to pay to play (or work) on this card, that's for sure."

    I upgraded to this from a Geforce 2 MX so my brother could play Dark Age of Camelot on my old computer without lag. Installation was easy and fast as it uses the same driver as my old card so I didn't have to download another one over my lame dial-up (although I did have to uninstall it so it would recognize the new one which was no big deal). Games look awesome and more importantly, it plays them very smoothly.

      Learn about the [open] source. Besides, who's the more foolish? The person who pays for software? Or the person who works for him?

      But Sept 11 was merely a revenge attack for the attrocities the US committed against the people of Afghanistan by using them in the cold war and then leaving them with nothing to show for their support. They did nothing wrong!

    How does free software get food on my family's table? It doesn't. Period. Even the mighty RedHat is not officially in the black, yet. Debian, Gentoo and others are just hobbyists.
