HP Introduces Transmeta Thin Clients

prostoalex writes "HP will announce the T5500 and T5300 thin clients on Monday at the TechEX show in New York City, which use the 733-MHz and 533-MHz versions of Transmeta's TM5800 CPU. Prices range from $599 to $629."

    I know /. has one "sponsored story" each day or so and I don't really have a problem with that, the editors gotta eat somehow. But geez... You could at least TRY to make them interesting or somewhat hard to spot.

    maybe I should clear my cache then... See... I would have looked into it simply because Linus worked there, other than that Transmeta's hopes have diminished over the years. Seems like it will be an Intel/AMD world at the rate both companies pump out chips. Hell at the rate of SCO articles I see here and there, SCO might sue Intel and AMD for some sock() calls or something... SCO Pentium just sounds lame...
