Groklaw Sends A Dear Darl Letter
Ralph Yarro writes "The Inquirer is carrying the text of an open letter sent to Darl McBride from members of the open source community at Groklaw. This is a lengthy and detailed response to the open letter Darl sent a while back."
The ironic thing is that this post is as interesting and original as anything that is going to be posted on this whole "SCO vs. Linux" topic.
The surprise isn't how often we make bad choices; the surprise is how seldom they defeat us.

That's an interesting question. I assume you're talking about Jews. One of the reasons why they have been hated so long is that they have been outsiders everywhere, as they haven't had a real homeland (only a book talking about a promised land). As outsiders, they've mostly been outside social hierarchies, earning a living in trades considered filthy by those inside the system - usury, for instance. And those who are outside the system are always looked down on - even by those members of the society who are on the lowest level in the hierarchy.

I think people mistake what the "promised land" is... language issues and handed down translations and such...
I imagine the mormans had the same issue when they went on their quest for the promised land. And yay, they saw the promised land over the mount and said all together, "Desert?!?!" And the US goverment said, "Yep... we promise you can have it".
