    What I need is a cheap way to subdivide my space in my parents' basement so that when I'm working* I'm no longer subjected to the noise of the washer & dryer (let alone the sound of bleeped-out screaming on Jerry Springer on the TV upstairs).

    (* for sufficiently loose definitions of 'working' - studying, preparing for probably-pointless certifications, working on toy applications that will impress no recruiter on earth, etc)
