Ukrainian Computer Destruction Championship

Alien54 writes "Over 300 self-confessed computer addicts have participated in a competition in the central Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhya to destroy their own hardware in a spectacular fashion. The event, dubbed the "First Open Computer Destruction Championship", was organised by a local FM radio station with the professed aim of raising young people's awareness of the dangers of spending too much time in front of a computer."

      "the computer destroys you!" is perfectly applicable to those that suffer from a form of Repetetetive Strain Injury, such as Tendonditis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cubital Tunnel syndrome, DeQuervain's Disease, etc...

      But if you stick an hot iron in your eyes after seeing goatse, whose fault it is? Your computer, which allowed you to see it, or simply yours?

      Obviously this is a staged media event like the cover ups of the stalin created famine of 1932-33. 'yes the ukrainians are happy destroying their computers! look at them smile! ignore the people's comissars lurking the background!' It is the information age equivalent of de-kulakization and it's happening right in front of your eyes!!oh the humanity!

      ..oh wait, sorry it's just some dumb radio promotion crap, my bad.
