Microsoft Wants to Project "Cool" Image
rocketjam writes "C-Net is reporting that Microsoft is working to get their products placed in popular TV shows like Fox's "24" and HBO's "The Wire" as part of a push from executive Jim Allchin called 'cool form factor'. Like MacDonald's recent hip-makeover marketing efforts, Allchin wants to engender a hip, consumer brand image for the company which is largely perceived as an enterprise software company. Microsoft would like to capture some of the cachet that Apple Computer has among the fashionable and Hollywood tech elite."
Can't M$ just leave Apple's limited marketshare where it is? :::sigh:::

Damn! Two points for Viceice!
Un-news
Only a fag like you would know that.
That's cool though. If you're up for it, here's what I want you to do.... I want to jack off watching YOU jack off...and in return, you can jack off watching ME jack off!
I bet you're still wondering why you don't have any friends..
What is that?
Oh, you mean "McDonald's." Another in a long line of errors.
Don't you just love how Slashdot is always at pains to speak of the natural sciences accurately, implying a laudable devotion to left brain thinking? Yet, when it comes to clear and correct use of language, Slashdot gives every impression of being utterly unconcerned. So, nerds are supposed to have big left brains and puny right brains?
As a right brained geek, yes, it does offend me.
Didn't Preacher do that earlier?
+1. My 15" PB shipped today. :)
