What's A 'Scroll Lock' And Why Is It On My Keyboard?

Jeff Bauer writes "Today's article in The Straight Dope explains all the weird keys that come with standard PC keyboards. Now if someone could just explain what the 'Alt Graph' key does on my Sun keyboard, enlightement would be at hand ..."

I have some sad news to bring you all this evening. I just heard this on MTV news that Trent Reznor (of the band Nine Inch Nails) was found dead in his New Orleans nineteenth-century home this evening. The death of the 38 year old is still to be determined. His final work can be heard on the Doom 3 soundtrack (Doom 3 is still scheduled for release around the first quarter of next year); he will still be remembered for revolutionizing music as we know it and his legacy will live on. Some sad news indeed; Trent was truly an American icon.

I love the layout of my Toshiba notebook, part of the keyboard looks like this:
    [Enter ]
    [shift][PgUp ]
    [up ][PgDwn]
    [spacebar][ins][del][alt][left][down][right]

It makes sooo much sense, all the juicy keys are right in one tight bunch.

Yes, I get that too. I figure it's just ball sweat, though why it smells so different to normal sweat I do not know. Sometimes I get the same smell there on a hot day without any masturbation at all.

I agree with you that this smell is fairly pleasant too. Perhaps it is in a similar way to how the smell of your own farts can be pleasant (but not to anyone else ..)

Incidentally, when you cum on your chest/belly, have you ever left it to dry for a while? I find it forms an unusual second skin that feels rather nice to manipulate, especially on my nipples!

  12. In Soviet NeXTSTEP the caps lock keys push you. by Amiasian · · Score: -1, Troll

On a somewhat related sidenote, I recall that certain NeXT machines (such as the one I own) came with keyboards that had no capslock key.
    How was it implemented then?
By invoking Command Shift. A little light would turn on, and the shift served also as the caps key.
Talk about good engineering and saving space. It really makes sense to do it that way.
