Federal Court Throws Out Minnesota VoIP Regulation

An anonymous reader submits: "Voxilla reports that the FCC will announce Friday that 'a federal court has issued a permanent injunction against a recent ruling by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission to regulate Voice over IP provider Vonage as a telephone company.' This is a significant move towards stopping recent movement by states to regulate VoIP -- most notably, California vs. VoicePulse and Wisconsin vs. Packet8."

if im not mistaken, the constitution says something along the lines of...

we the people, in order to create a more perfect union

the key thing being we the people. not we the government (as is in some other countries). we the people give the government its rights. so wtf do we allow this sort of thing to happen. there should be laws about making new laws more public and voted on by the people. i say we get rid of congress and just let the people vote on laws.

i really hate the fact that our government tries to defend a constitution that they themselves have now desecrated. even if every american in the states wanted to get rid of the government, or change it in some massive way - theres no way in hell that the government would go down quietly. It would take another civil war to rebuild our government and no one wants that now at days. I mean, a new tax comes into law and everyone bitches at the governtment. what ever happened to just taking all of our VoIP and tossing it off a boat in boston? jesus. i thought it was 'no taxation without representation'... and i would like to think that 'greed' doesnt count as 'representation'. johnny depp was right. the US is just a little puppy. give the people their own govenment and the puppy will throw a temper tantrum.

now i cant blame this all on them. after all, greed is a basic human nature... so as long as human beings are in government, its always going to fuck us in the ass with a steak knife...

on a side note: im sorry if i sound like an asshole. i went to a juliana theory/hopesfall/copeland/celebrity show yesterday at the TLA in philly. my ear drums decided to go on vaction and the food from the five points diner in deptford is now kicking me in the gut.
