Wired Interview with Linus Torvalds
Tones125 writes "Wired has a lengthy interview with Linus Torvalds contrasting the tedium of his humble life with his superhero cult status, and also briefly mentioning his take on the SCO mess, Richard Stallman and John "maddog" Hall. My favourite quote: "He jokingly refers to himself as Linux's hood ornament"."
I laugh everytime I see Linus's name. I can't help but think of Penus Torvalds!

Torvalds is elite
I read today that Anna Cornicova, or however you spell her stupid foregin name, is considering quitting tennis. Good riddance. Let me know when you appear in Playboy, you talentless skank.
Stallmans' time is in great demand, he has to turn down stuff regularly. So he turns down media sources that don't bother to get their info straight. That's a reasonable criterion.
> unless the article used "GNU/Linux" instead of "Linux" throughout
I'm sure he only required that the term "GNU/Linux" be used for the operating system. The journalist decides what he's going to focus on, it seems he's focusing on Linus. Calling the OS GNU/Linux, can't change this.

Saying an acting career is possible, Anna Kournikova told the London Evening Standard she plans to retire from tennis early next year.
"I'd love to appear in something like Sex and the City or Friends," the 22-year-old told the newspaper. "I get offered lots of those sorts of jobs, but I've never had time to pursue them because of my tennis."
Kournikova has headed up lists of the world's sexiest women. The Evening Standard's Web site accompanied the story with a photo gallery showing several of her steamy gowns.
She has been bothered by back injuries and had withdrawn from several tournaments. "The doctors say it's chronic because it keeps coming back. I do not want to go on playing unless I can participate 100% as I don't like pulling out of tournaments."
She has never won a singles title. Her highest ranking has been eighth. She reached Wimbledon's semifinals in 1997.
