Israeli Government Suspends Microsoft Contracts

MartinB writes "According to The Register, in a double blow to Redmond, the Israeli government has both suspended all government contracts with Microsoft until at least the end of 2004, and Israeli Antitrust Authority director general Dror Strum has ruled that Microsoft is subject to US court limitations. At issue in part is Microsoft's refusal to support Hebrew in Mac versions of Office."

  Let's see, in the UN each country gets a vote. So with 22 Arab states and a conglomerate of other Muslim nations (Indonesia and Malaysia, for example), there is a consistent block readily-available to push any and every anti-Israel resolution that's possible. The Arab League was formed entirely in opposition to the creation of Israel, so there are 22 votes against Israel's one.
  Not to mention that other states find it easier to just appease the Arab/Muslim block than to risk getting their oil supply cut off (ie, oil shortage of the USA in the 70's for example).
  FInally, do you realize there's slavery in Sudan? Yes, fucking slavery!. Black Christians enslaved in southern Sudan by the Muslim majority. SLAVES!!! But there is nary a mention of UN resolutions against it. Only when whitey Jews do anything bad does everybody get their panties in a knot.

  The apartheid wall that Israel is building got international condemnation. Name one country besides Israel that supported it. How are you going to justify the US closing the debate? They refused to condemn Israel unless they also condemned Palestine as being worse.

  you do realize that this is something like 20% of ALL UN resolutions? If this isn't proof that the UN is dominated by a staunchly-conservative anti-Israel block, then I don't know how the hell you'll ever see this.
  Israel is not nearly as bad as other places out there, why is it dominating UN discussions?

  The United States has built miles and miles of fence on the border to prevent Mexicans from crossing illegally. And all Mexicans want are jobs. Imagine if they came packing bombs to blow up next to random Americans? I think we'd be building a wall too! I would *hope* we'd be building a wall!

You do realize that Jordan has a law that forbids any Jew to become a citizen? Note - not Israeli. JEW.
Jews were ethnically cleansed out of Jordan into Israel after the War of Independence, but that doesn't matter. It's only apartheid when it's the whitey Jews doing anything bad, right?
And similarly Israel is the apartheid one in the conflict for giving Muslims thousands of more rights in the Jewish state than Jews have in any of the nearby Muslim states.
