France: No Google Text Ads For Trademarked Words
ASN writes "Reuters reports that a French court barred Google from providing text ads with search results for trademarked terms, except those from the trademark owner (in this case, 'Bourse des vols,' potentially -- 'Microsoft,' 'Scientology'
even 'Linux').
According to Reuters, 'If it was upheld on appeal and validated in other countries the decision could force the search services to pre-screen search terms for trademarks before letting advertisers use them.' Google was fined 75,000 euros for the practice, and would have to pay 1,500 euro for each further infraction while appeal is underway (which
makes one wonder if Google is paying for this)."

Apres 12 ans, la machine 386 antique du fanatique de Linux donne vers le haut vers le haut du fantome ! La machine est passee par l'alot, passant par DOS 5.0, 6.0, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98 et Debian gnu/Linux. Elle a meme eu un Geforce 4 la-dessus employant un AGP au conveter d'ISA. Mais maintenant la machine etait morte. Ainsi le fanatique de Linux a decide d'aller au monde local de PC pour obtenir une nouvelle machine. Il a decide d'obtenir un Athlon 3500+ Packard Bell, quand toute la soudain il a entendu un DUNNNNNNNNNN geant ! Et derriere lui, etait le plus grand fromage plus grand au monde ! Derriere lui etait ce gros geek barbu avec un logo de Apple sur son coffre. Il etait un fanatique de Apple. Soudainement le fanatique de Linux a eu a weired le sentiment pendant qu'un geant Titatainum X apparaissait sur un affichage enorme d'affichage a cristaux liquides. L'envergure du titane X autour d'un visage bleu de sourire enorme, alors qu'un cube apparaissait et tournait vers un dessus de bureau. Le fanatique de Apple commence pour parler de son affection d'imper, et comment il allait acheter un G5 pour accomplir sa collection, mais du prix, etait presque 5.000 EUR, alors que la cloche de packard coute seulement 2.000 EUR, et etait noticbly plus rapide. L'envergure de rotation de boule d'arc-en-ciel pour des ages tandis qu'elle essayait de copier 17 un dossier du mega-octet mp3 sur l'iPOD du fanatique.

Are the Google French servers even located in France? If so, perhaps they should be moved out of the country and the French told to kiss Google's derriere.

This is only the latest example that shows that France, and indeed most of Europe in general, is severely out of touch with reality and is xenophobic. From the war in Iraq, to the renaming of e-mail, and now this... France thinks they can hold the world hostage. It's time to show them that they really don't matter in the world stage.

Just ban the site from France. It is a easy fix and people will fix the problems themselves if they want to use google over thier.

France didn't join the war on Iraq because of the same reason they whimpered their asses out of Vietnam, or practically invited the Germans over at the start of WWII and sucked mightily on their penises while they were there. The same reason they got scorched in WWI. The same reason they refused overflight requests during the bombing of Libya. The same reason they sold nuclear technology to countries they shouldn't have - and the list goes on...
That reason: they killed off their intellectual elite and leadership talent during the French revolution and what they have been trying to recover from for hundreds of years is a gene pool of greedy, slothful, unintelligent, lazy fucking cowards living in their own deluded dream world. The Russians lost over 20 million people in WWII defending their homeland from invasion while the French threw their arms up as soon as the first bullet whizzed by. Then their liberation was fueled by American, British and Russian blood while the pieces of shit helped the German war effort. I would highly suggest you take your feeble attempt at French nationalistic pride and slither back into the toilet in which your pathetic country belongs - and take your opinions with you.
