Linux 2.6.0-test9 Released

keesh writes "Linux kernel 2.6.0-test9 is now out. Changes include SATA support and XFS and CIFS fixes. Because of the change freeze, this is a fairly minor update. In the announcement, Linus suggests that -test10 will be the final release before 2.6.0-final. Don't forget to use a mirror."

    Yep, that stolen SCO code is already in the mail, and should be in OSDL office in the next day or two.

    It destroys CDs.

    It has obsolete and ineffective virtual memory management.

    It will be taken down really soon because of illegally included source code, in reality owned by SCO.

    Even NetCraft confirmed: Linux _is_ dying. Slashdot posts info about every release candidate, because they want to make it look different. Linux userbase is getting smaller and smaller every day... it's illegal, it might destroy your hard drive as well, it's obsolete, it's slow and inefficient.

    Don't use it.

    Jesus christ people. The features in the new kernel have been around for ages. I mean hell, I'm running a new technology kernel on my winxp box. I know that because NT is based on new technology. But seriously, linux is still just trying to catch up to a windows clone because we all want to run windows but we can't afford it. Mac osX? hahaha. what the hell is that? It's not based on new technology, so then it must be old technology. And I heard macs are easier to use. And since everyone says linux is so good but hard to use, then I can only conclude that osX sucks balls.

    Does anybody know if that CDROM meltdown glitch has been fixed yet? I didn't see it in the changelog and my boss won't let me install Linux anywhere until it's taken care of.
