Javascrypt

NTK's weekly list of useful stuff includes a pointer to Javascrypt, a Javascript-based encryption utility. Handy.

Isn't it a violation of U.S. export regulations to allow anyone to download code that can do strong symmetric encryption from your home page?

Sure, this guy's home page isn't in the U.S., but it looks to me like if some U.S. teenager thought this was cool and wanted to put it on their own homepage for any old ter'rist to download, they'd be screaming in agony while John Ashcroft applied 120 volts to their nutsack in a Guantonamo Bay chain link box in no time. I've got a lot of nifty free encryption that I've wanted to give away for a long time, but I don't think I can, can I?
