Future of 2.4 and 2.6 Kernels
Blair16 writes "According to this article on C|Net, not everybody is chomping at the bit for the new Linux 2.6.0 kernel. Marcelo Tosatti, the appointed deputy for the 2.4 kernel is not expecting to make any non-crucial additions to the popular kernel, saying that all new projects should be pumped into the new 2.6. This has upset some people who are not quite willing to move to so-called untested software. Some of their claims seem legitimate, but I wonder if all these people will really be left in the cold?"
I wish there was a way for me, as a Christian, as a human being, to sit down with some of you and have a pleasant, civil discussion without bitterness or sarcasm. I don't force people to believe what I believe. I don't mock others with different beliefs. I hope I can find the words to explain myself, as my life goes on. I hope I can help people to see.

The entire south side of I-270 will be CLOSED from 5-7 tonight!!! All because of that sniper.
Aren't these some of the same complaints we heard on previous kernels? Some people will always find something to complain about.
I neglected to mention one of Gnome Storage's beast features, which is that it tries to provide the user with a natural language interface for locating files and other information. Again, this meshes quite nicely with the idea behind Dashboard.
i would gladly buy linux (No SCO license though) with APIs that supported games like D2 and CS if someone wuld make such a linux
idea?
*resistance is futile, or fuzzy, i dunno*
What package(s) do I need to run "make xconfig" for 2.4.x under Debian? It never finds the right qt development files installed, no matter how hard I try :/ . Same goes for "make gconfig". I'm not brave enough to go through "make menuconfig"... I invariably miss a nested menu somewhere with important options. Can't find any docs that tell me what the prereqs are, and they apparently aren't caught by aptitude...
I track testing with the ability to pull from unstable on demand.
i would like to rent your biggest dumbest nigger...
the hardest part will be figuring out which is the dumbest....
Am I the only one who is tired of setting up joysticks on Linux by inserting kernel modules. Couldn't RedHat et al come up with a nifty configuration tool like Microsoft's joystick tool in the control panel?
