Mozilla Thunderbird 0.4 Released
Random BedHead Ed writes "The latest release of Mozilla Thunderbird, the standalone Mozilla mail program, has been released and is available for download here. A quick scan of the release notes shows some new improvements and features, including a new look, bug fixes, and for Linux users the ability to click on a URL in an e-mail and have it actually launch in your default web browser (how novel). Download and enjoy..."
Thanks for sharing that with us! Its comments like these that make /. the worthwhile place it is! Place the yoda doll up yer arse! fuck you niggahs, we hate black cunts but love the GNAA!
i use IE (plz dont hit me!) and the only reason i do , is because IE is simple, ive tried a few other browsers, and they all got some kind of extra functionality (IE have one too: crashing) that i dont want, so until someone makes a nrowser without all this extra stuff, ill stick with IE
and please dont link to Mosaic, i do know about!
*resistance is futile, or fuzzy, i dunno*
I hadn't read much about Thunderbird yet...
... status bar tricks ... and spoofing that prevents you from seeing where links really go.
Annoyance Eliminator Aside from preventing popup windows, Mozilla Firebird will also stop a number of other actions. Mozilla Firebird puts an end
Sweet! I also read that it offers built-in one click downloading. The only thing I use, that isn't included in Firebird, is a spell checker for forms, etc. Currently, I'm using iespell(free) for Internet Explorer, but I haven't really looked for a Mozilla spell checker yet..
Caleb
and this is the reason that /. isnt taken seriously anymore
(get that dirty thought out of your head!)

hey, did anyone else notice that some of the main topics are breaking the guidelines slashdot sets out itself for posts?
see moderator guidelines, under 'what is a good comment, 3rd paragraph: bad comments. it literally reads: "Bad comments are Flamebait".
i mean, the below comment would've gotten a (-1, Flamebait) for sure...
"and for Linux users the ability to click on a URL in an e-mail and have it actually launch in your default web browser (how novel)."
of course it is *true*, and of course people will mod this offtopic. i just get this pot-and-kettle feeling when i read this story.
I hope they haven't given up on the great Windows XP 'Teletubbies' look.
-1, Troll? Oh, how the fuck...?
<cliche>Oh, right, this is Slashdot.</cliche>
You'd be surprised to see how very few people actually use these features.

As for Linux users, their clipboard images are planned for next century.
That's because it'll take that long to fix the clipboard(s) in X.
