Computers for Uganda?
" I was hoping to use thin-clients because they are very durable and create very little load for a server, however, I am not experienced enough to administer them properly using Linux (the same going for Solaris), and do not have enough money for Windows licensing (and also hope to have them be as reliable as possible). I would like to use Apple computers because that is the OS I am most well-versed in, and know that when I leave Uganda and if a problem were to arise, that there would be hope of the problem being rectified. I'm more looking to donate these computers to his school as opposed to set up an internet cafe; so I would be looking to have 6-20 computers and a server. I have never set up a network on a large scale and will need to know about what type of router/hub/network configurations would be plausible (I have a very basic knowledge of administering networks, something I hope to fix soon).
I thank all of you for your input, I hope we can make this happen!"
so what exactly makes this a troll? it is well documented that the scouting asccociation (which i was a part of for many years =/ and where i learned how to like going "outside") is very discriminatory against gays, athiests, people with big noses, etc... it is also well known that i am lazy and dont feel like googling for the most recent story about a boy scout troop who changed their policy to allow gays and as soon as one kid came out the policy was retracted and the kid kicked out.
/.'ers on here that want to use cliche phrases like "this one has all the ear marks of a troll" or "nice try troll"... etc... fuck you.
most of the boy scouts of america clubs are fronts for a bunch of fundamentalist, bible belting dolts. lets see - the scouts are very closely tied with the catholic church (i should know - i got my "ad altare dei")(for those without a clue its a catholic religious emblem) and priests are very close with young boys...
you can see what im getting at. its all a big front for pervs to get off. granted there are some people who still believe in the "goodness" and "christianness" of scouting - those people need to wake up. ive met a lot of nice people in scouting who had the right idea - but were too blind to see the corruption that lie beneath it all.
so the
the rest of you. have a nice day, and eat your veggies.
