King of Fighters Censored for Stateside Release
Coreyh writes "The just-released King of Fighters 2000/2001 game compilation for the PlayStation 2 has been censored.
The content removed from the 2D fighter includes blood, guns, and Mai's 'bouncing.' Apparently SNK Japan is a bit cautious about the USA's acceptance of content. I wish SNK USA had more control over this sort of thing. The content changed seems very mild to me.
King of Fighters 2003 has also had a limited Jamma PCB release for arcades around the world this week. Here is a trailer of the opening and gameplay. It has tagging and interesting new characters along with old favorites."
if it's falsified, you sure have god damn bad system to prove it as such. falsified anything in such production of documentary nature would quite quickly be a huge scandal here on other side of the pond. though.. (and look, if you really are thinking why people are pretty willing to assume that all of it is 100% true and unbiased that's just because of the crap that hollywood and tv companies export to us. you watch 1 episode of judge jody and try to think that the whole nation is not full of redneck idiots, it's hard even though i've known few americans personally).. what is his political needs anyways? does he really have any except that too much guns in hands of idiots sucks, and what's bad with that? i haven't watched the movie as it offers me nothing and i pretty much know what is said on it anyways. i'd rather watch some documentary about planets or something. i know making generalisations from it would be just as stupid as judging us finnish people from the behauvior of russian mafia or classical incident of a finnish man getting totally drunk and depressed and killing his wife and children with axe/shotgun/hammer and quick suicide after that.

and look, i know how to handle a gun, a real made for killing people assault rifle. i'm a lousy shot but even i could shoot a stationary man into torso from 150meters with them and the total training i've had must be under 300 shots. maybe 50-100 more if you count the brief light machine gun training but that's another thing, like is the crap 9mm we had couple of shots with too. 99% of men i know do know how to use these guns if they ever need to, because that's mandatory and only way to avoid it is to go to civil service instead of doing the army service. how many have guns at home for _self protection_? none, very few have them for hunting(and it's illeagal to store them unless they're unassembled/locked away). guns are nasty for intimidating fear in others because you can very easily kill somebody without really meaning to do it, all it takes is that the shooter is stupid enough to actually pull the trigger(and end up in jail).. and really the probable scenarios where i could think that having a gun with me would protect me in _any_ way are pretty slim(really, it would be much more useful to get myself into shape and train some self defence). i could see the fun in target practice though, and the fun in owning a gun used for such(or collecting some exotics or vintage). but really if somebody leaves guns for underaged boys around(the 'gta' shooters, perfect example of how you can kill people easily without meaning to, by just being stupid)... they should be jailed who left the gun and ammo for them(they could have just as well have left a big self destruct button on the kitchen table labeled as "don't press, especially you two").
