Intel To Produce Cheap LCoS Chips
SeattleGameboy writes "NY Times has an article about Intel's plan to produce low-cost liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) chips. This could result in high-resolution 7"-thick rear-projection TV costing around $1000 by next Christmas (not to mention cheap projectors). I guess I can put off buying a new TV for another year ..."
Blah blah blah Microsoft sucks blah blah blah DRM.
How is the parent insightful?
I just read an interesting book called, "From DRM to TIA, 2084 vs. 1984." It was a really good book and basically talks a lot about DRM and digital rights and its deep rooted effects in society today. I frequent the EFF and am very against the RIAA, MPAA and things like TIA. The book does cover John Poindexter, and it also covers how RFID tags in tires can be used to track movements, how EZ-PASS is being used to track people, bullets having secret imprints being put on them and the shells. I'm really worried the direction thigs are going in. The book was published by Buccaneer Books, and its ISBN is 0899663680, and here is a link to amazon for it, go buy it now. A must read.
