Kazaa Ruled Legal in The Netherlands
DreamerFi writes "Developers of Kazaa cannot be held liable for the way people use their software, the Dutch Supreme Court has ruled. The dutch version of the RIAA, BUMA Stemra is now expected to start lawsuits against individuals, following the american lead, according to dutch news channels."
Reminds me of those frivolous Firestone/Ford lawsuits.
Firestones sold millions of tires and only a few hundred people actually got killed or injured. Making the reasonable assumption that millions of those tires were driven on and clearly safe/
Customers preferred firestone tires and complaines when they were recalled.
So what if they died. Firestone didn't make them drive SUV's.
Ok so it is an extreme example but that coffee was hot enough to be used as a weapon. It was at least 20 degrees hotter than every other Fast food coffee. The executives knew about the coffee just like Ford knew about the tires. Just because it is not dangerous to everyone doesn't mean it isn't dangerous.
Ahh, but the Nazi's have a lot to do with the Netherlands...
