61-inch Wide Plasma Monitor

Mister.de writes "NEC Plasma Display Corporation today announced the launch of two 61-inch wide plasma monitors from the PlasmaSync(TM)61XM2+series (a grey bezel model, and a silver bezel model) that are equipped with "Enhanced Split Screen" ability - a high quality, high performance Double Picture function. Sales will commence on February 1st, 2004 to meet various uses mainly in multimedia presentation and public display applications with different release dates for each region. NEC Plasma Display Corporation is targeting 25% of the world commercial market share with its 11 model line up. See the source with picture or Read the Main Specifications." The 1365x768 resolution definitely means this is more TV than Monitor, but who wouldn't want it in their office?

OK, so one time I'm in CompUSA, looking for an Ultra160 SCSI controller card (probably not the best place to be looking for it in the first place) and I find the spot on the shelf for an Adaptec card, but it's empty. So I ask the salesmonkey if he has anymore SCSI controller cards in stock. He says "We don't carry SCSI cards" and he said it in such a way that I knew he was thinking to himself "WTF is SCSI?" So anyway I say "Well there's a spot on the shelf for them, maybe you have some in back?" and he says "No we sold out of those" (now he's either changing his story or he's just stupid) so I give up, walk away and decide to extract a little revenge. Over at the end of one aisle there is a display set up with about 15 various models of monitors, all connected to a VGA splitter and all are showing the nice aquarium screensaver that comes with Windows XP Plus. Well a little poking around and I find the machine powering them, and I make sure no one is looking. I make a new "Favorites" item, and link it to the old staple http://goatse.cx and put it in the "My Channels" folder. Then I go to screensaver properties, select Channel Screensaver, 5 minute delay, and just for good measure, password protect it as "goatse" (seeing as how they neglected to password protect it in the first place). Hit apply and leave it idling at the desktop. I continue browsing the store for a few more minutes and time my exit just as the "screensaver" is kicking on. As I leave I hear a woman's horrified scream...
