Multiple ReplayTV Lawsuits Dismissed
bluephone writes "News.com.com.com.com... has article about a federal judge dismissing lawsuits brought by 5 users and the EFF over fears of being sued by media corporations. U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper stated the suits were moot since media companies agreed not to sue users in August 2003. She also pointed out that the suit brought by media companies against ReplayTV has been dismissed as well."

Novell this week began offering SuSE Linux customers some legal protection for using the open-source operating system, the fourth legal umbrella to emerge from a computing industry grappling with legal threats brought by SCO Group.

Off topic, but whenever I see the address of "News.com.com", I always think of David Letterman giving his website address as. digg edy.dank.dot.com.diggedy.www.com.Dave.com.com.dot" .
"wwww.com.com.com.dot.dot.dot.com.com.diggedy
Of course, that was funnier back when you still had to type in "http://" in your browser.
"Bodysong ( Simon Pummell) is the true pre-Christmas killer in the art-movie stocking: a docu-journey from birth to death via sex, war, famine and terrorism. Writer-director Simon Pummell bombards us with birth-channelled babies, rutting couples and starving Africans, then says we can be saved by dreams, art and communication.
Johnny "Radiohead" Greenwood's score, grinding out apocalypse on dissonant strings and cueing revelation with sub-Philip Glass strummings, should be put in a bad music hall of fame."
Now, the problem is that I would like to build it using SATA drives, but I don't know if Linux or FreeBSD supports any SATA chipset properly. I've had trouble with SiS3112 and the new model, SiS3114 doesn't seem to work at all.
So, my question is: is SATA support in Linux or FreeBSD at a level required from a file server in home use.

It's one of the more frustrating aspects of our legal system (to me, anyway) -- the inability to pre-emptively decide issues.
Just say that they have weapons of mass destruction, whether they actually do or not, and the government will take pre-emptive action against them.
Best. Comment. Ever. Enjoy!
