Linus on SCO, and the Desktop Being 10 Years Away
An anonymous reader writes "In this interview from last week's Linux.conf.au in Australia, Linus Torvalds talks about how the SCO lawsuit 'riled' him and led him to spend a week writing an application to archive his email, and how he think Linux will take 5 to 10 years to become mainstream on the desktop."

But instead, you left off taking a bus home with nothing better to do than make fun of hippies. (Who, incidentally, got laid, unlike yourself.)

I just loaded Fedora on my machine.
Very impressed. (previously used slackware, debian, suse and previous redhats)
from a 3 cd iso image I have a fully functional desktop computer in under an hour (not counting download of images)
So far, downloaded email through Mozilla, listened to cd with xmms and tested sound juicer out.
I would recommend this as a functional desktop family system.
fwiw.
