Perens on Patents
lewiz writes "An interesting interview with Bruce Perens over at the BBC. He's up discussing the role of HP, IBM, et al and the move towards Linux. However, his main point is about software patents and how they are much more of a problem than SCO: 'We're looking at a future where only the very largest companies will be able to implement software, and it will technically be illegal for other people to do so.'"
I like buttsex, receiving that is.
Who cares what Perens says. He is a flaming liberal and probably a communist at that.
He should go back to canada and brush up on how to speak mexican so he can talk to the rest of the communists.
> They're walling off a piece of the commons.
> This isn't property.
Your argument doesn't match your analogy. People did "wall off the commons" and that did became "property" (in the sense that it became part of the 'ideological superstructure')
Pretend that "property" doesn't exist because it offends your shallow communist sensibiites is pretty soft-headed. Go read some Marx.
