Darl & SCO Overview
HAL9OOO writes "I found an article that as well as giving a good overview of "SCO - The Story So Far" also provides an interesting insight into the character of a certain Mr Darl McBride Esq."
It's a fairly lengthy article providing a lot of insight. Necessary reading to anyone new the SCO/Linux thing, and recommended to anyone who just wants some interesting details on SCOs position on the whole thing.
why the heck would we want to?
ohh yeah

Yeah ALL Dem presidential candidates support H.R. 40
even the reasonable moderates like Lieberman and Edwards. No troll this is a fact. They keep it quiet when speaking to "Mistuh Charlie" but you can easily confirm this is fact on the net.Mod me what you like but this is true Vote Democrat Vote for an $8,000,000 "study" to pay reparations for slavery and racial discrimination. This study is not about whether they should be paid but how they will be paid. All Dems support affirmative action as well.I bet even you crackers that go along with that draw the line at reparations though.I'm off-topic as hell but 100% correct....prove me wrong motherfuckers.
Is sco share price down..?? I had taken a long position!!! Darl asked me to do it an year back.
Sure is offtopic, but what the hell...
Reparations are a much better idea than affirmative action, IMO. Blacks were discrimanated against _by the government_ of the US up until little more than 50 years ago. Blacks deserve reparations for that.
AA, on the other hand, is disguised in the interest to increase the presence of minorities in college and jobs. It covers any minorities. Frankly, why? Why is it better to have _minorities_ equally represented in companies and schools? Why should this be enforced by law? More importantly, how can you keep track or who is a minority, as time progresses? I know of several people that do not fit any of the gov. specified "races", but are still minorities. What about work place diversity then? I don't have any german colleagues, you know? I think this is a sign of discrimination agains germans, right...
I mean, really ? You get paid to do this site and you don't even bother to read the site. And in this case it's a very good article that stood out when it was posted the first time.
It's pathetic. Not that whining about it helps much, but really it's sad. Millions of readers, paid simple-ass work..
we wouldn't trade 10 cents for all the billyonerrors in the wwworld at this point..
the queen may also be a fink
McBride questioned IBM for not indemnify their customers if IBM believe that Liux was free from illegal code while when Novell/HP decided to do it, he turns around and said there must be code that is illegal.
This just reminded me of a joke told by my company's general console.
A company CEO wanted to know the answer to 1 + 1 = ?. So, he called in the CFO and ask him that questiion. The CFO thought about it and said "Based on my years of expirence in accounting and my MBA study, I have concluded that 1 + 1 = 2."
The CEO then decided to call in the head of his engineering department and ask the same question. The engineer thought about it and said "Based on my years of expirence in mathmatics and my engineering studies, I have concluded that 1 + 1 = 2."
Finally, the CEO called the head of the legal department in and asked what is 1 + 1. The lawyer got up, closed all the doors and curtains. He made sure no one is listening and asked the CEO: "What answer would you like to hear that 1 + 1 equals?"
>> Mr Darl McBride Esq
Esq?? Damn I need to get one of those watches so I can have that at the end of my name
Since Slashdot is mainly a series of posts about articles on other web sites, why don't they add to it a database of links referenced in previous posts. That way, before a new article is posted, it's links can be checked against the database to determine if a similiar article has already been posted.
It can work like a spell checker, merely suggesting links that have appeared before, so you can identify the links that should be unique and ignore the ones that you know aren't (ie to project web sites, company web sites, and the like).
