The "secret" to KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is NOT in the "secret" herbs and spices. I worked there decades ago and I KNOW.
The secret to the taste is in a dangerous expensive high pressure deep fat fryer that was sold by the Col. to independent restuarants way back when that decreases cooking time and thus can increase profits. It also forces fat into the food making it taste really good.
The chicken is prepared normally: cut, dipped in milk, rolled in flour with salt and Pepper (the secret herbs and spices). Then cooked in the deep fat fryer.
The secret herbs and spices bullshit is a distraction technique to guard the real secret - high pressure deep fat cooking.
