Infinium Labs Threatens Gaming News Site
Over the past year or two, Slashdot has run a number of stories about Infinium Labs and their Phantom Game Console (that phrase still makes me smile, every time). I think we've been generous to them, taking their game console talk at more or less face value, despite the vaporous nature of the product. Now they've decided that threats are a better plan for improving their image than producing a real product, and threatened HardOCP over an older news story. Our own Robin Miller has talked to Infinium and written up his impressions of the situation.
I'm going to spell this out for you now, and after it is proven, I will reference this post.
Lyssa Watson is a dude. He's posting with a chick's name, signing with kitty ASCII art and "with love", because he knows you fools will mod him up. Just because you sexless wonders think he's actually female and that your mod points entitles you to a chance.
Unfortunately, it will work. It always does. When the account has some real nice karma going for it, it will be troll after troll. And you'll cry into the last tissue from your bedside box of kleenex, most of which was used up while thinking about how you may one day meet Lyssa Watson.
