Emulate Nintendo on Your MessagePad

Green and Geeky writes "That Marvel of a PDA, the Newton MessagePad, has always been a good product. It does a lot of things: plays MP3s, connects to the Internet wirelessly, can be used to bludgeon someone, fits in your pocket (if you're a giant), etc. Now, it plays Nintendo games. Strange, yes, but still pretty cool. I can't play Legend Zelda, Final Fantasy, or Dragon Warrior on my Palm V." And I don't need to waste money on a Game Boy Advance!

Well, this is massively off-topic. I'd reply in email, but you're being cowardly...

The reason it's "forgetting" you is probably due to you having a dynamically-assigned IP address, and it changing from time-to-time. If you come in with the same IP address, I guarantee it will remember you - if you keep returning with different IP addresses, I don't see how it can "remember" you...

I don't believe you. Email me your IP address and rough dates (to the nearest week will do) and I'll look it up - you'll be in the webserver logfiles. My email address is in my post.

IP addresses on the same Class C, at least, should be grouped into the same general location.

The resolution of the site is only to /24, so if you're on the same class C, you're guaranteed to be labelled as the same city/location on return. The database is pretty-much rock-solid now - it hasn't changed significantly for more than 3 months...

Nice. It's always easier to stand aside and put things down than to have an idea and make it work - I think it's why the kernel developers only have respect for code, not for opinions, still you're entitled to yours.

We were safer with Clinton because he was actually addressing real issues in the middle east (Israel-Palestine, for instance). What has Bush done to promote peace in the region? The war in Iraq has done nothing to stabilize the region; rather, it has become a rallying point for anti-American sentiment. And please don't try to say that the regime of Saddam Hussein harbored or aided terrorist; there is absolutely no proof for and plenty against (idealogies, for starters). Saddam may have condoned the attacks of September 11, but that doesn't mean he assisted in them.

Why show him any more respect than he showed the apparent majority of American voters in the 2000 election? This is not to say that he would not have won had a complete and total recount occurred; rather, that he would accept the position under the cicumstances that he did speaks volumes about his true character.
